Mesmerized
I am transfixed with him
and the way he genuinely cares for my best friend
I study the way his fingers curve as he gently strokes her back for comfort
and I cannot help but feel his sincerity
He's everything I've never had
because he is nothing like the world he lives in
I know few simple facts about this golden soul
yet I feel so much love for him
He does in fact notice me
though only as another common passerby in a world of chaos
Electricity surges through my heart when I think of him
but I know these feelings are one sided
He loves her, while she loves another
and I am stuck
I wonder if he will ever really see me
My heart
My soul
For I cannot help but be mesmerized by everything that he is
