Merry Mary

Merry Mary seeds of Davidson Street
What you know about the N.O.D.A. 1520?
Where mama was less drama than the red daddy
No honor from Obama got life plus dreams.

      Mary Mary quite contrary
Didn't raise no punk didn't play no fairy
      She's a high roller minus weed and a G
She says "I know what...God has got me!"

Every human tribe derives from Africa
Bill Nye Science guy kept it real yes sir!
So don't hate when I say buy black
We buy Asian, Caucasian, you don't hate that!

No brutality, we are family be flattered
Don't get mad at me, because black lives matter
Embrace unique seeds who claim his favor
Black in every way, every shade, every flavor.

Mary Mary missionary keep minding your business right
Merry Mary missionary buy black get phat or bye bye!

      Mary McGee was a matriarch
      She did the right things
      Served a mighty high God
She came from a queen, no illusion
Big Mama called a slave but was P.O.W. retribution!

You can't slave away her faith
You can't rape away her grace
You can't take away her praise
You can't hate away her place
You can't pay away her pain
You can't dim or drown her gain
You can't buy the sun or rain
You can't beat God at God's game.

      Reverie of Mary
      Blue Carolina breeze
Before gentrification Little Hornet was green
Cordelia Park is where we went swimming
Foxy, super-fly, black and proud trending.

Mary Mary missionary keep minding your business right
Merry Mary missionary buy black get phat or bye bye.

There seems to be some controversy in your poem which escapee me a bit. You see I am not in USA but far away on a small island in the Mediterranean so I must search for the right meaning.

It is about my great grandmother who was a slave in North Carolina. It is not usually said she was a POW prisoner of war but this is true. If one is captured moved to a foreign land and made to work with not freedom to even keep ones offspring this is from the civil wars handbook. The parts about business and gentrification are how poor people buy houses pay them off owning them. Then rich organizations and or rich people buy property near or in that area and build up raising taxes so high the poor elderly retired can not afford to pay. They are forced out of their homes with no place to go even though they rightfully own the house with the now high taxes.
