Mermaid

The waves crash down and bring a briny breeze
All you hear is the sound of the ocean,
Paradise framed with beautiful palm trees;

Her song echoes the water's emotion
creating a rhythm drowning in tides,
The unsuspecting come to vacation;

Without a care they sit by the seaside;
The view is like diamonds, with a pearl mist;
Did they see a woman or dolphin glide?

Not too sure if their minds are playing tricks
full and bright in the star filled night of June;
but oh there were sounds and they heard the kicks;

Was it only a reflection? The moon?
There is no denying the melody,
They know it, this unforgettable tune;

There is truth to the mermaid majesty;
The waves crash down and bring a briny breeze;
Showering a taste of serenity;
Paradise framed with beautiful palm trees;

Bright mermaid eyes
smile with mystery
They ask, do you believe?
