A river of light moves along the top of a dark mountain range Beneath light silver clouds, floating in the sky this winter day The cold air is still, as it freezes the snow just recently fallen Leaving white tipped tree branches reaching outward in mid air Over millions of snowflakes spread all over the frozen ground Like millions of positive sparkling thoughts, waiting to be found As the day moves forward, the silver clouds darken to gray It will not be long before more snow will fall that is on the way Another pristine layer of a blanket will be spread to see Where the beauty of the sky, meets the ground in front of me Heidi Sands 1/6/21

Love the idea of 'millions of snowflakes' as 'millions of sparkling thoughts. Lovely, lovely, lovely! Hope you are well and happy, Heidi! Best always, Gershon

Beautiful Heidi. We lived 13yrs. in the NWT where the winter was long and cold and dark and many didn't care for it but they drug me out of there kicking and screaming. I could see the tundra from my kitchen window and the Northern Lights were so bright. I loved it up there. This reminds me of the wild beauty of the North. God Bless, JB
