MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS-How I truly feel

Here is a poem for Mental Health Awareness week:
We never know how a person truly feels inside. Sometimes we hide behind a smile.

Remember to check on your friends and family.
Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

  I look into the mirror,
  What do I see?
For only I, know the real me!
I may put on a smile, as I walk through the door,
  But deep down inside,
  I feel unsure and insecure.
  My emotions I often hide,
  I don't tell a single soul,
  But I tried!!
People often say, "How are you today?"
  I will tell them, "I'm fine, "
Then I'll be on my way.
  Even if someone seems fine,
Just check they are really ok.
  Don't ignore,
They may need your help and support,
  Just a little bit more.

When we have the love of friends and family,
  So important!!
  Be there for each other,

Dearest Daisy, O' such a gentle lantern for those wandering in the quiet shadows of their own minds. I see the courage it takes to admit what’s hidden behind a smile, the ache of saying “I’m fine” when you’re not. Your words show that kindness is a simple check-in, a little more patience and can be a lifeline. Thank you for voicing what so many feel, and for making care visible, one honest line at a time. Spring Blessings, My Dear Daisy, Daniel

People often hide how they truly feel inside. People often say they are ok, when they aren't. It is good to raise awareness and encourage anyone to get some support, if they need it. A little help, goes a long way. Thank you for your kind comments. Much appreciated.

Hello Daisy, this such a beautiful and thoughtful piece. We should all try and do more to help others, a false smile can hide a lot. Thank you for sharing it.
