Memory Pond

I lie down closing my brown eyes
I take a stone and throw it in
the ripples slowly now arise
my past touching me deep within

I take a stone and throw it in
I watch the past gently unfold
my past touching me deep within
I dream of something I can hold

I watch the past gently unfold
my golden moments soft and sweet
I dream of something I can hold
I need to keep this kind repeat

my golden moments soft and sweet
life ripples hold the past and dies
I need to keep this kind repeat
I lie down closing my brown eyes

I will sleep with it beneath my pillow James. It's not still beating is it? That would keep me awake I'm afraid.

A nicely penned pantoum, James. Or should i say good memories and a reverie in a moment? Nice to see you writing again. ;)
