Memory Box

In a little wooden box
deep beneath the ground
is where my memories
are buried safe and sound
beautiful moments faded
like flowers in the snow
now just wisps of memories
where only weeds can grow
so I put them in a willow box
far from my heart and mind
deep within the silent soil
the memories now left behind
