Memories, I Think
I would love to share… a walk in the meadow
When a deer peeked out, and took a look at me
A magical moment, I stood in shadow
When she darted quickly behind a tree.
I would love to share… when so proudly I stood
Before an alter in a beautiful dress
Blinded by my veil thinking life would be good
In my youth ideally expecting no less.
I would love to share… when my brain was once quick
Could respond so quickly, answer on a dime
My mind full of trivia, twas not a trick
I could solve logic puzzles in record time!
These memories I would love to share with you…
But with my advanced age… not sure they are true!
