Memories and Nightmares
A walk into the forest as my body,
Trembles for the fear of,
Trying to understand.
Tears falling as if ripples in,
A waterfall causing a tsunami,
Trees sway as the fairies dance,
Only to be seen by the gods.
Glimpses of memories,
That were hidden,
Yet now are brought to the surface.
A man yells hitting a little girl,
As my vision clears I see,
The little girl is me.
Not understanding only tossing,
And turning, yelling,
I feel your hand on my shoulder,
Comforting me, it's ok it's ok, I'm here.
My body relaxes and I fall,
Into your arms where I feel safe.
