Memories

You came speeding down the hill
No breaks, no lights, no feelings
And crushed into me, I your servant
I the slave, I the inferior, I the less
You planted a tumor in me
It was sprouting roots in me and spreading
But then my nails started growing
Each day I was growing stronger, sharper
You busted all my dreams, my only gifts
But then with my only remaining breath, a flower bursted

She sits behind the wheel speeding down the hill
Looking at her ring finger on the wheel,
            there used to a ring
