Memories

I told you how I felt and
We confided in each other.
Things have changed and
People move on.

It was nice knowing you.
I loved the memories we made.
Even though you’re gone,
You’re still here in my heart.

We met in the colorful spring and
Now the leaves have a different shade.
They’re floating through the wind
Gone for now, but new ones grow in time.

I’ll cherish you as long as I can.
But like those old photographs,
They always fade away to time.
Just like how you were mine.

As our chapter ends for now,
I wish you luck on your new endeavors.

And I’ll go out and find myself.
