Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Memories

by Bob Moore © 2018

You see a sudden movement, from the corner of your eye
and you think, that you may have seen, a shadow, passing by
you know it is a loved one, who has gone before
a lover, or family member, looking out of heaven’s door

They are checking to see you are ok, and family are with you
to help, and keep you company, when sadness crashes through
They know that you must mourn for them, the sadness in your heart
for sometimes in their own life, their love was torn apart

They also know that time will pass, the memories fade and dim
and each time you just think of them, with love your heart will brim
so if you see that shadow please, do not be afraid
it’s just that love which you still know, and the memories you both made
