Memorial Dream

Dreams to dream evermore
Under the gate of heaven's door
Into the time long before
We touched and loved down to our core

The life we had, the sins we wore
Into the sheets that then we tore
Into the ecstatic bliss galore
Of the passion, of love, and of so much more

Time standing still, now as then
A constant reminder of times when
We had made love again and again
Repeating the agony for years; ten

Now I pray as I lie here in bed
That soon life will strike me dead
And leave me with the words you've said
When my tears run blue then red
