Melody of Memories
Our hopes were blowing in the same direction in our youth so pure.
But lately her thoughts have conceived resentful feelings of me,
So I suggested she go out and see her life’s adventure
And travel away freely.
But when we were seventeen
We rushed toward our determined dreams,
But I still saw our friendship in between
Our past and future
She grew to be twenty-one,
And I only saw her reflection
In my bedroom mirror.
Then the melody of my memories
flowed into a time when I was with her
Now I live alone
In a house by a lake with shores of stones
And she too wanted herself to be on her own
So I held onto our moments together when before we were grown.
