Notes About The Poem

Melodies of My Harmonica

Next year I’ll learn to play the harmonica.
Hoping to produce such a mellifluous strain,
In my sturdy hands, I’ll practice every day,
It would not be easy, but worth the pain.

A harmonica emits a life by itself,
Of journeys and skies so blue.
Of stories describing great deeds,
That echo all around like birds that flew.

And in the soft breeze, many will dance.
Beneath the stars that twinkle in the glow.
A special sonata of heartfelt wishes,
Assuming I’ll manage two or three notes in a row.

Music can transport one to ethereal realms. Learning to play on a musical instrument is very desirable and not a rosy dream at any age. A lovely resolution and wish for the New Year, beautifully expressed. Dear Victor, Wish you a Merry Christmas. May you have the joy and peace, infant Jesus brings!

Ah i used to play harmonica when i was very young . Good memories. Its fun and very easy to learn and i think if this is really your resolution. This would be perfect. I love how you came up with a resolution so realistic and how you’ve written on that too is impressive. Pleasure reading you today! Sending you light always

Dear Victor What a delightful ode to the harmonica! You've captured both the charm of its music and the relatable humor of starting something new. The closing lines are especially endearing—proof that even a couple of notes can carry a world of dreams. Keep the spirit alive; the stars will be twinkling along with your tune before you know it! Hugs
