Melding and Parting

The sky's tears weep onto the lush green leaf,
clearing all memory of muddy colours on artist's palette,
and the saturation of the editor's choosing.
For an instant each bead is apart and strong,
then two dew drops come together in eternal kiss.
Flowing unbidden by vein and stalk
falling to the inevitable break,
yet mingled forever in that memory.
