Melatonin

Floating through the air Into your loving arms Caressing your body with a fervor A sickness, an endeavor Rubbing cheek to cheek Trying hard not to wake From this melatonin dream Holding my breath Til the moon descends into the ocean Painting a portrait Of the two of us standing At a fork in the road Waiting for the train To take us to our unknown destinations.
