Beautifully done. Evocative, chilling excellent haiku. Stirred in me the feeling I have felt many times, at the Remembrance Day Ceremonies at The War Memorial, the silence, the cannons. I am faving this one. xomo

I have no idea why poppy fields feel more morose and sad when fog is there, but fog seems to go hand in hand. Nice one.

Remembrance Day is such a gutwrenching visual.

I was thinking how frightfully easy it is to write haiku about Remembrance Day because the feelings are so raw and somber. Try as I may I can't imagine for someone who has actually gone to war to serve our country. We have a debt of gratitude to the men who served for our country.
