Megan Orphan of the Storm

Who was she?
Walking in the rain,
like an orphan of the storm.
She trusted me,
to help find her shelter.
Courage uncommon,
a trusting heart,
letting me deliver her to safety.
At her destination,
wonders never cease.
She was a daughter,
who could love, understand, and respect me.
Giving my life some real meaning.
She was a bright star,
lighting our lives,
Now I wish her discoveries and marvels,
Now I wish her success that has no sting.
Now I wish her joy, peace, and warm contentment.
And always, always, always, love,
with the man she has given her most valuable gift,
access into her heart.
May the best days between them begin now,
and bless them with a daughter like her,
because the secret and meaning of time,
are hidden in the hearts of young girls.
