Meg Can'T Find the Scratch
Meg Can’t Find the Scratch
By Elton Camp
Meg had been married a short while
She was finding cooking quite a trial
Her husband, Jason, constantly howled,
“My Mom’s a better cook,” he growled
Her mother-in-law treated her with disdain
“I don’t know how long Sonny will remain.”
Both of them, her cooking did assail
But didn’t go into sufficient detail
Meg desperately went shopping one day
Finally, to a clerk, she proceeded to say:
“My inlaw’s cooking I can’t seem to match.
Because she made everything from scratch.”
“Please show me where it can be found
For I have searched this store all around.”
