Meeting Her Daddy

I have the absolutely worst intentions sir,
This is why I am taking your daughter out.
I will do the most horrible things to her.
You will not recognize her when I am finished.
The father glared as the young man shuffled in
to say “hello” for the first time.

Can you imagine if a kid actually voiced those words? Finally give a dad cause to get the shotgun out! My stepdad never even met my dates. That is what little interest he had in me! I had a lot of freedom, even from Mom! Nice one, Caren

I actually was thinking to myself "what if the narcissist actually told her dad what was on his mind?" and this poem sprang onto a page, so we were definitely on the right wavelength.

Sincerest appologies Andrea for butting in and if i am out order please forgive me but never have i read a comment on someone else's poem and then commented on it and hand on heart felt their disappointment and pain. Maybe this is the greatest example and shows the power and brevity of poetry. Congratulations and my deepest respect to both of you Women of substance

Only frightening reason Caren as a man i would wish for a son before a daughter . The worst possible scenario happend to my sister everyone knew he was bad news but couldn't see it and loved him regardless

Can not understand nor ever get my head round the fact mummies boy or not . Every boy is born unto a mother so to disrespect any other women is not to then indeed disrespect your very own mother and birth

The thing is Christopher - girls are all about "daddy", they are usually "daddy's girls" whereas boys are giant puppies, and Mommy's boys. I am sorry to hear about your sister. When people show you how bad they are, believe them.

Oh for sure! The man of the house must abuse the boy first with a strong squeeze of the hand, a glare that could disintegrate Superman and a harumph. If that doesn’t work, he can get the shotgun...lol! I used to laugh to myself when my dad jumped out of his chair and gave a good strong handshake. LOL
