Meet Me By the River

I have been waiting for you by the river
Hoping that you would meet me there
I have been waiting for you by the river
Because we I have so much things to share

Big rocks fastened in the ground
With a melody that is profound
My spirit tells me that you were in town
And you are slowing moving around
I can’t see you but I can feel your presence around
And I can smell your perfume evaporating from the ground

The water is flowing off the rocks
With all the power that it has got
The water is flowing off my back
And it is flowing down the stream
To meet with my long awaited dream

I hear the water bashing from up stream
With a rhythm that is so pristine 
And I can feel my heart growing
I hear the water flowing down the river 
And I can feel my spirit soaring

It feels like destiny is slowly creeping upon me
And I can feel the cool breeze blowing all over me
There are so much precious things to share
When your lips are closed and I look into your eyes 
I will send the message to you
Without uttering a single word

You will hear my spirit speak,
 And the Gods will rise up from the deep
We will drink tea in front of the fireside
And stare into each other’s eyes

We will salute everyone with great pride
And every single one will unite 
With their long awaited bride
And when the day is done, we will cook
Your favorite meal, and journey with you 
Way out in the deep

We will climb the mountain
 And sing in front of the fountain
Mystery will meet with mystery
And the long forgotten emotional pain 
That held us in bondage all these years
Will be finally broken because the devil will speak

It was more than jealousy that kept the music playing 
It was the need to be who I am, you have been planning
For me since I was a youth but its time you tell me the truth

The things that you wanted for me wasn’t what I really wanted
I just wanted to live a simple life
And to come home every night to my bride 
I wanted enough that could keep me contented
So that I could relax and write some major books

But your ambition for me was bigger
And  your needs becomes greater
It is the journey that kept me going around
And the people that kept frowning at me in the town

But the heavens has finally opened
 And the music is finally playing 
The skies are dancing in pleasure 
And the sound from the water is playing a musical tune
The river is on the run and it is time to have fun
I want to travel around the world 
and sample some great cuisine
Taste some perfect wine
And create my own fashion line

Every time I thing about it 
Tears start flowing from my eyes
The water is flowing, the river is growing
And my spirit is at ease as it reminiscence with the breeze.

Beauty is near and we have everything to share
Lonely nights, humbled pride 
and  heavy sound of the train passing by at nights
I can feel the wind blowing 
and I can feel my spirit soaring
And the quietness of the morning 
keeps my heart growing

I am longing to share that moment with you
When our dream will finally come true
A dream that has my spirit shaking
A dream that has me waiting

Alas the time has come, 
When the sun will no more be on the run
I will wake up in the morning and my heart
Will be glad and I will sing a new song
The evening and the morning will be one
When we join hands in hand

The shadows will increase and
 The music will play a new beat at our feet
Listen to the water flowing through the river
It is making my spirit still, It must be Gods will 
Here I am waiting at the foot of the hill by the river
The rain is drizzling all over me and my spirit is finally free.
