Meet God In the Garden

Meet God in the garden
as His fragrance fills the air.
In the beauty of the flowers,
you will feel His presence there.

Come meet God in the garden,
at your favorite time of day,
in the tranquil peace and solitude,
you can sit awhile and pray.

Come meet God in the garden,
and share your cares with Him.
He'll lift the burdens that you carry,
when you leave them all with Him.

When you meet God in His garden,
He'll refresh you like the dew.
And the lovely Rose of Sharon,
will walk along with you.

And thanks for your comments, Tim , you've made my morning! Yes, your title is right. I've of course I've heard that other song about the garden, but I never made that connection. It's a beautiful song about coming to the garden alone. And about that famous song, to compare it to mine is quite a compliment. Blessings, Darlene

Congratulations Darlene...This wonderful and inspiring quatrain reminds me a little of the hymn 'I Come to the Garden Alone' (Not sure if that's the title) Love your use of 'The Rose of Sharon' in reference to a garden...Thanks for making my day! - Tim

Thanks for your thoughts, Arlene. God meets us where we are and walks through our lives with us. But I don't have to tell you that because if you like this poem, you know Him personally, too! Merry Christmas, Darlene

And thank you for reading it, Brenda. I don't have a garden because I live in a small apartment, but we have a community garden here and other people's gardens that I have walked through. I thank God for all the gardeners that tend and beautify God's good earth. God enjoys all His gardens right along with the buzzing bees and butterflies. Hope you have a good day and thanks for stopping by.
