MEDIA MAZE

cycling our emotions, constant
change, tears to laughter

in seconds

fires raging, cameras say cheese
and wine

backdrop in flames

shifting to hosts, smiling
as footage frees bears

eating dough in a pizza shop

and i say to myself think think think
where was the tragic shooting

my mind sees a long trail of headlights
coming from Florida…no!

that’s not right, then i reminisce the hurricane floods,
finally i follow the Oregon trail

so soon we forget as a new tragedy envelopes
us through the television screen

and the cute little bears toss pizza in the air

So crazy! Napa Valley, where my son enjoyed sitting outside with his cheese and wine. He won a military iron chef contest - the prize was a visit to the Culinary Institute of America. Wow! America sure is being hit this year with all sorts of things!
