Medallion Moments

a decastitch Agur offered this dual plea to the Lord God Almighty. Keep lies far from me; give me riches nor poverty. a well-reasoned entreaty Agur was no simple youth. great wealth renders pride forsooth great hunger makes men uncouth. We’ll all encounter deception's tollbooth counting medallion moments of truth. written March 17, 2018, inspired by Proverbs 30:7-9 contest: Laura Loo's, 10 lines 5 words III

Thanks for the placement, Laura. I'm sturggling to see your connection; but now that you mention it, I'm considering a huge kaleidoscopic medallion for my new living room wall which looks so bare.

I think most people long for wealth only to find, after attaining it, that it doesn't guarantee happiness. Best of luck in the contest. John

Thank you, Silent One; tried to depict the discovery of how deceptive wealth or lack thereof can be. Truth is, we lie to ourselves about many things.
