Meant For So Much More

He took the heart of a little girl
And made it grow up too fast
She saw a worthless disappointment
Only an ugly face

Broken and beaten
Love was all a lie in her eyes
It seemed as if no one cared for her
It seemed as if no one saw the tears fall

She’s running in the wrong direction
Who will help her now?
She is trying to stand tall
Does anybody even feel her pain?

She’s going down today
Can anybody hear her?
Can anybody see her?
Can anybody save her now?

The blood flows as the tears fall
Red soaks the bathroom floor
No one can hear her now
No one can see her now

She was meant for so much more than all of this...

You have a way of expressing grief so fluidly Tat and to have love elude you is so sad. Please read my poem called "To Ciara; Rules for loving", I think you might like it. Ciao.
