Meant For Me

The long hallways of our lives
Are inflicted with pain
With each creaking step beneath our feet
The glare of our mistakes pre fold
On our face and close shut
Not letting the plastic of our feelings
Melt away
In order to stay alive
You must resist the temptation of disappearance
And recognize the regret of guilt
For a dream to come true
It must control your mind
And you mustn't let it go
Because this world isn't meant to be
The long words of our confusion
Are erased with every thought
With every idea of how to stay alive
I hope you're there
Because you're all that I need
Please step out of the dark
And into my forgetful dream
Hello? Are you there
There's so much that I need
Step into the rain
And see, this world is not meant for me
