Meadow That Mother Nature Made, a Loop Poem

Animals running thru the meadows,
Meadows filled with hiding places,
Places where young can hide safely,
Safely peeking out their little faces.

Faces waiting for the early morning,
Morning filled with the hope of food,
Food abundant for all the mothers,
Mothers eat first, then feed their brood.

Brood of babies are quietly waiting,
Waiting, mothers soon will be done,
Done, she returns with milk for all,
All tummies full, it’s now time for fun.

Fun is how they will learn to survive,
Survive they must, for all too soon,
Soon they’ll go out into the clearing,
Clearing full of sunshine and shadow.

Shadow filled with promise of danger,
Danger that they will learn to evade,
Evade so they can see the meadow,
Meadow that Mother Nature made.
