Me Inside You

I'm a shadow, alone, I exist in your mind, You can't see what I see, think or feel. And I don't have a heart, a smile or a want, You don't even think that I'm real. But I'm with you, your rose, beside and inside, Haunting you I chase down your dream. And I preempt your thoughts, your actions, your pulse, When I know things aren't quite what they seem. I'm your feeling, your insight, your beautiful hunch, Living up in your head of a zoo. Always looking out for the one that I want, Always protecting the one that I love that is you.

That is such a great poem.... That is how I am built, sometimes protective, sometimes hurtful, sometimes talking when I want it silent, sometimes so deafening silent that I am desperate for sound. As if me is something I live in.

Thanks Darren, I think we all have that small voice inside keeping us in check, some are louder than others maybe.
