Me and You

Do you remember?
I do very clearly
it was summer
hot and humid

You were old but very alive
you drunk alot but never was violent
sweet and kind
i wish you were still here

You and I
me and you
we were never apart
sort of like best friends

i came over every weekend
you would greet me and we would go and play on the swings
grateful not hatefull
always thought of my happiness

The month after i turned 5
you went away for awhile
you didn't even say good bye
i never saw you again

But i do remember all the good memories
not the bad
