Me and You
As I sit here thinking about
Well about all the things you say
But never do.
But I love you.
So I sit
Time after time
Life after life
Feeling less human
And more animated.
Color me to beautiful again
In your sight.
Not to be set aside.
You always let me go
But I love you.
And I need you.
Not to be my knight in armor.
Just to be mine.
But you love me?
Only when I'm still.
Where you go
I wait.
Where you sit
I stand.
Where you sleep
I guard.
And when you fall
I carry.
So you love me...
Where does that love take you?
Or me?
Am I ever going to be
Just me?
Or us?
Just you?
Or us?
Can you just see outside
These walls of glass?
Too thick to break
And too tall to climb.
If only you cared about you,
About life.
You live every moment in yesterday.
And the sadness takes you away.
Away from here
And there
From us
And them
From you
And me
Please come to me
Please look at me
And try to see YOU
in my love.
My flesh
My song
I see you torn in pieces
Left about and scattered
With no regard for you.
But I see you as no one can
My soul hears your cry
And weeps with you.
