Me Again

your silence
aches me
your exuberances
your light
a glimmer
of melancholy looms
missing the rush
of what
I yearn for
then the prospect
creeps in
of just
me again

Forgive me dear friend. Though I have seen your poems place, I have not reached out as often as I should. My political work has been a crush. So I beg your indulgence and thank you for the reminder that, in fact, you are still there and it's not just me again.

It is a rare skill for any writer, even poets, to express a great deal in a few words--kudos,Greg!

Back to say congratulations, "Carl," with your "mind bending" poem! Still pondering. Be blessed. Have a great day!

Maureen, thanks for the most cogent critique. Interesting how each interprets these words so differently. Terrific job. You're amazing.

Greg, read this many times so I could ponder your words in your rich imagery of yearning, melancholy and aches. Will probably read it many more times. It so reminds me of the work of Carl Sandburg. Thank you, just me, (meaning you)for sharing it!

What great humor you have Sam. Me and Carl even in the same paragraph is so comical. Thanks for the insight, the chuckle and and, of course, the read. Made my day.
