Me

Me

Why everyone,
yet not me?

Fight for him,
fight for her,
yet not me.

Is it crazy to want to be chosen?
To be believed in?
To be defended?

It feels like I'm a stranger,
yet you know me.

How sad

The listener that is never listened to.

The chooser that is never chosen

Danni, I can resonate with your lines. Brings me back to my school days of picking teams and the anxiety and fear of not being chosen. A great poem that pulled at my emotions.
