Me
(A story in moments)
Different
Never felt I had a space in many places . . .
Ouch
and when I went to school, that was confirmed.
Safety
The only place to hide was within reason.
Lessons
But what is really reason must be learned.
Change
Soon my life became completely different.
Naïveté
It spat me out into the world (or was it spewed?)
Calling
and finding what I wanted was of essence.
Growth
Emerging like Athena in the nude.
Poetry
Now I see what in me is worth the viewing.
Masks
I hide in me that which can be consumed.
Work
The building called myself is work in progress . . .
Uncertainty
whether commissioned as a shrine or as a tomb.
Faith
I believe I'll find the things that make me happy . . .
Hope
yet feeling they've eluded me thus far.
Knowledge
But with age I'm learning more about the lesson
Truth
that everywhere you go is where you are.
