Maybe We'Re Both

Maybe we're both broken and never loved again
After being crazy, we all suffered from the pain
Maybe you are crying, and maybe I am too
Among all of the colors, we are both blue.

Maybe we're not yet ready to meet someone new
And still longing for my one and only you
We never had something in past, but it seems we feel the same
That we are the pawns in this awful chess game

Maybe we don't want to fall in love once more
We never want to believe in another forevermore
Maybe we're both for each other yet we don't know
Maybe if we try, we'll never let go.

Just MAYBE. . . You aptly described all the dances in thought we do after heartbreak. The letting go seems impossible. The going foreward, even more so. Nice thoughtful rhyme.
