Maybe Sadness Is My Happy Place
In the dark I sit
All emotion
No motion
Will there ever be light
I’m still on the outside
A hurricane inside
Tryna control my sky, land and sea
Give me the white flag
I’m ready to set it free
Will a flower ever grow from here
Will I ever blossom or merely disappear
Into the sunken bags under my eyes
Get me out of this whirlpool
I can’t breath
I’m drowning in my own tears
100 voices and not one is glad
Maybe sadness is my happy place
I need a ticket pass away from here
Even if it’s for a day
The weight is too much
To wait is too much
99 emotions and they’re all the same
I’m tired
