Maybe Not Reverie

Like a siren
Calling from the sea

Luring me

To unknown depths
Assuring safety
From perpetual tears
Drowning fears
Of shipwrecked hopes

Dismissed
As someone else's dream

In between the seam
Of the horizon
Where oceans
Fade into skies

Promise in your eyes
A reverie
Left behind
By ghosts

A past not meant to be
Yet a future possibility

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
