MAYBE A NOD
MAYBE A NOD
No surprises, I detect no empathy
The young, they don’t understand
Yet probably even do not want to
The old always know it all so well
And each wish to be the recipient
Never the giver, no empathy left
Understanding, but leave it there
A future view is one day at a time
Expect little, except maybe a nod
Empathy is rare
Or at least is rarely shown
Just understand why
