Maybe

Maybe the sea,
will allow us to dance along with the waves at night.
Maybe the moon,
will follow our every step like a giant spotlight.
Maybe a cloud,
will permit us to use it as a pillow.
Maybe two rainbows,
will appear, one for me and one for you.
Maybe a piano,
will teach me to play a note.
Maybe a choir of stars,
will sing a melody I wrote.
Maybe a breeze,
will carry to me your scent.
Maybe a dove,
will carry back to you this poem I sent.
Maybe a waterfall,
will shower us with its mists.
Maybe in this life,
troubles are what keeps us prisoners,
joined at the wrists.
Maybe God has a purpose,
A lesson not to regret.
I choose to forgive,
maybe you can choose to forget.
