Maybe

Love can be a flower
A bud that is closed
In its premature stages
With the correct timing and conditions.
Petals will out to show
Like that one time you shared it with me.

It can be like water
A river taking its course
Trying to find its destiny.
It can be a raindrop
Landing from the heights
Like the ones you made in my eyes.

It can be miserable
Like when my body depended on yours
Even so to the soul
Like when I depended on the two.
A cold finger touches my soul today
Taking away my spirits.

Like a flower my smile would always show
Beaming and inviting to please
Like when I showed it to you.
Today petals have fallen
Lips dry like dead petals
The ones that beamed for you.

It is all a passing wind
Travelling across the mind
Or so I would love to think.
But you take the strength in me away
With this little thought of you
Maybe Just maybe
