MAYBE
I was looking at the poetry contest results today,
I don't think I will ever be as good, come what may.
Some of them are quite short, some are very long,
But all of them have a quality that makes them seem so strong.
There are soft romantic ones that make you want to cry,
Then there are the darker ones, that make you aware of everyone who happens to pass you by.
I like the ones that you can see express deep feelings,
They seem like my own thoughts and just set my mind reeling.
There are the ones about bright parties with crackers and big balloons,
Then there are the ones about people like me who feel all alone.
I try to be positive about each poem I read,
And they are all very good, and maybe I will write a good one and help someone who is in need.
