Maybe....

........................Maybe, if things had been different
                              I'd be somewhere else now? 

                Perhaps, if I had never looked into your eyes, 
                I'd be free of the mesmerizing spell they cast. 

       Suppose our hearts hadn't melted in the magic of that moment, 
         and we had let go of the gaze we so fervently held, and held 

                until the night was dark, our passions quenched, 
       drenched in the love we found, and exhausted by it's promise. 

             Perhaps, if I had never been captured by your soul 
              I'd be free from the delicious prison it holds me in. 

                         Maybe, if things had been different, 
                             we'd be somewhere else now.........................

Then I have to always go back to 'all things are as they are meant to be' and we are perfect within it and ourselves. Life is a mystery. Many blessings!
