Maybe
Left it all to chance
Maybe
It's the only one I get, we get
The one I think I see
As traffic lights
And alarm clocks
Try and guide us through
But they can't
Because nothing is certain
And certainly not guaranteed
Like billiard balls
Broken from the rack
The first shot is pure chance
And maybe we get lucky
And the second shot we plan
A second chance
It may be all we get
To find a better path
To use our limits wisely
Maybe, that's the way
Or maybe not
I don't know
Not as much as I would like to think
Maybe, not many of us do
