May you know that you are valued By Michelle Morris 15/06/2023 I wanted to pass on something From my childhood memories But all that I had left Was sad feelings and broken dreams Everything that I loved Was destroyed or tossed away Burned bridges and toys Scorched emotions and betrayal So, what do I have to give you? What legacy do I pass on today? How to be a better man? When I'm still learning this with age? I hope that you will feel That you are truly loved and understood That you'll be inspired and uplifted By everything I say and do For having hopes and dreams Feeling loved and cared about Having a place to call home Is precious without a doubt May you look back with joy Feelings of warmth and happiness May you know that you are valued For being your own true self © Michelle Morris, 2023
