May I Learn To Walk In Your Ways

I have never found myself asking why
Life is okay just passing by
No time to just let it lye
Without God to hear my longing cry
Seeing his world as hard as I try
Keeping one eye on the sky
The other on what gets me by

No time for Satans smack
Making sure my soul is intact
Just in case he tries to hold me back
Thinking my faith is full of slack
Accepting life as it comes my way
With every new sunrise brings a new day
For us to find all the blessings God has on display

He clears my path as I awake
So it's possible to find my way
Through any obstacle that might come into play
To have a future full of God’s praise
Knowing you are the light that fills my every night
So we will be together on our final flight
With your promise that makes it all set right

My walk to be closer to you is my dream come true
With every step I take, I feel my heart pulsate
In my life, I can only hope to demonstrate
All the love and trust that I know awaits
When we reach the pearly gates
