May I Have This Dance

May I have this dance?
This question I did ask
To a wonderful young lady
Whose beauty was unmatched

She sit beyond the crowd
A smile on her face
With a heart full of love
And a personality full of grace

Her eyes were so daring
And her hair was one of a kind
But when I heard her voice
It really blew my mind

So as I approached her
She put me in a trance
All I could say was
May I have this dance?

Thomas, this would make a great entry for Barbara Gorelick's "Dance" contest if you used the ABBA internal rhyme scheme. Love your poem! Best wishes, Carolyn
