May I Borrow Your Dream

The mellow music streams in the open window.
It seems to be riding the gentle ocean breeze.
The many years of life have left its memories,
to intermittently and randomly attack my mind.
Some so joyful and others that strike the gut,
I don't think that there can be peace for long.
There comes the next surprise in life to survive,
more experience to be relived again and again.
In this world just about anything can happen,
even those things that you only dream about.
For this is the world where dreams are made,
you might even be in... someone else's dream!
