May I be a candle, Lord
Burning throughout the night
To let the glow of Your sweet love
Overflow my soul with light.

May I be a willing vessel
Burning all the time
To show I love my Jesus
Whose love is so divine.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I could reach one soul for You
With my candle burning bright,
My heart would overflow with joy
As angels dance with delight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May all Your love shine through me
So others would want to know
Why the love of Jesus
Is glowing in my soul.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May I be a witness, Lord,
Wherever I may go
As long as You give me strength
To carry on below.
