May I

May I?

May I sit beside you?
Talk to you for sleepless nights
About all the things unsaid
For the time lost in our silly fights.

May I look in your eyes?
Get lost in those cloudy haze
To a place where no one resides
With the absence of time, I gaze.

May I come close to you?
Wanting to feel your lips
Without removing the contact with your eyes
To feel your warm breath
That ignites my soul and lights up my sky.

May I keep my lips on your forehead?
Kiss it as if it is the last thing,
Beautiful for me in this world.
For there is nothing more I desire
But the two of us.

May I penetrate your soul?
To feel the pain.
So that I can transfer to thyself if not remove it.
For the doer was I.
And to make you feel safe,
So that you never raise a question
About security and fate.

May I take you in my arms?
All night long
And pamper you
Caressing your hair back to your ears
While touching your cheeks
And playing with your moles.

May I give you all the blessings I have
For you deserve nothing but the best
For the lady you are
The soul that you preserve
For the light you are
Which I astonishingly observe.

May I, for one more time
Ask forgiveness
For all the things that I’ve done
For the things that I’ve not done
For not being there when you needed me the most.
For not being myself when I should have been.

Sorry.

May I be shameless?
Shameless in asking
“May I please, have your hands ?”
A hand to kiss forever
A hand to ask your father.
A hand that holds me forever
In the light and dark
A hand that my hands long
To set this beautiful journey
And create our own world apart.

May I?
