Yann Rolland Poet Free verse

May Be

Maybe I’ll cross Wyoming, and so on, 
It’ll keep me from thinking about the Eiffel Tower,
Maybe I’ll cross Montana, with horses
This will save me hearing Pretsident Macron,

Maybe I’ll cross Wyoming, and so long,
Dancing with the buffalo in Yellowstone,
Sleeping one night under the Shepherd’s star,
This will save me from hearing the Eiffel Tower squeak,

Maybe I’ll cross Montana ou Wyoming
It’ll keep me from thinking about old rats
To think that Paris will write beautiful poems,
I have other ideas on my side of the Atlantic.
